As of today, Host Publications has a brand spanking new office at the corner of Broadway and Chambers. We're still in TriBeCa, but we've relocated from the top of the 'hood to the very bottom — TriWayBeCa.
In our former building we were surrounded by film production companies and casting agencies, and our lobby was teeming with jabbering actors and tubercular models. Now we're down by City Hall, and our new building is home to law offices, construction companies and other mysterious enterprises.
Yep, we've gone from the ridiculous to the sublime: when we stepped outside our old building, we entered a world of retail debauchery — care to purchase a $350 pair of velvet children’s pantaloons, sir? Or perhaps ma'am would like to pretend to eat a $8.50 piece of retro coconut cake? — and now our cigarette breaks are enjoyed in the affordable street vendor world of $15 bottles of Gucci Envy, $20 "military-style" coats (complete with military-style medals), and $5 copies of tawdry paperbacks.
Needless to say, the good folk at Host feel much more at home in our new surroundings, and we invite our friends to stop by and check out the new digs — and perhaps you might like to pick up some affordable winter acrylics while you're at it.
